I was visiting my family last week. It's been a while since the last time I met them (read: a Year), so I won't be surprised if there would be a big home-welcoming (I was hopeful, mind you). Imagine my disappointment at the same old lack-of-reaction my family gives me. They picked me up at the airport with the altogether-bland-look like it's a routine occasion and I just back from visiting the neighbors. I'm sorry if I do not feel the love.
The week passed by very quickly and uneventfully. It's a high time for the flu season and I'm no superhuman, I guess sickness do lower our energy and our motivation to socialize. I spent my time resting, eating, gaming, resting, lazing around, resting, and being the perfect introvert that I am. I'm back to Jakarta with only a few increased-on miscellany goods (a request from a few people) and looks no worse for wear.
I think it's a problem of choosing a "proper time". A week before I schedule to came home, my mother departed to Mecca for Haji. For the record I'm happy to contribute that I met her at the airport, and she greets me with the Usual heartwarming hug, makes me wonder if she is the only extrovert in the house and the obvious lack of her make us the most awkward and standoffish bunch of blood-related-people around.
I think I'll consider my time-management for my next visit, so these thing won't happen again.
I guess, I'm finish with the ranting and now on to some interesting facts: I only found out about the Daylight Saving Time Today! Yeah, I live in the equator and my country never observed it and I always see a notice about it in Every website that I Visited during the past months and the past years... :sigh: I just feels shame that I never bother about many things in life.
Yet another interesting fact, there's a thing called Computer Zone Time. And it differs about 193 seconds from the Local Standard Time. I now knew the reason why I always have another 3 minutes more to get ready after spending so much time in front of the computer every morning.
~fin. Total time consumption: approximately an hour and a half for both typing and editing. I hope there would be only a small amount of grammar mistakes (but I won't count on it) XD.
